Campus voice mail system down
Campus voice mail system down

The voice mail system on the Reynolda Campus is not working today because of a hardware failure. Telephones on campus are still working, but no voice mail messages can be left or retrieved. Calls to campus numbers will ring indefinitely if not answered.

Men’s soccer wins share of ACC title

The men's soccer team defeated Duke 3-0 at Spry Stadium last night to claim a share of the ACC regular-season title and receive the No. 1 seed for next week's ACC Tournament. For the six seniors on the team, the win improved their four-year record to 74-10-9, the best winning percentage in school history.

‘Winning on and off the field’

Following last week's disappointing loss to Miami, President Nathan O. Hatch saluted the efforts of the football team. "I am here today to say how proud all of us are of you, the Wake Forest football team." Wake Forest takes on Georgia Tech today in Atlanta.

Field hockey falls in ACC semi-finals

Top-seeded Maryland withstood two second-half goals by Wake Forest to defeat the fourth-seeded Demon Deacons, 3-2, in the semi-finals of the ACC Field Hockey Championship yesterday.

Researching older blood, transfusions

Professor of Physics Daniel Kim-Shapiro and a collaborator at the University of Pittsburgh have received a major federal grant to study why the quality of stored blood degrades over time and to investigate ways to make transfusions using older blood safer.

Medical school to coordinate NIH grant

The School of Medicine will receive nearly $50 million from the National Institutes of Health as the coordinating center for a national study measuring the effects of lowering blood-pressure levels on cardiovascular and kidney diseases and age-related cognitive decline.
